Ann Vereecken and Jeroen Worst, the duo behind Studio Simple, have a gift for emphasizing the beauty of the everyday through almost obvious objects. With their designs they want to turn daily rituals into something special. Two cake trays made of concrete have been added to an ever-growing list of everyday objects they have designed for Serax. “We love to bake and eat. Presenting homemade cake or pie in a good way is at least as important to us as the taste. We like to believe that the taste gets even better on our Simple Plates! Ann laughs. The concrete gray cake dishes look good on every table and in every kitchen where the company and the beautifully set table contribute to a cozy atmosphere. In combination with the previously released wooden Dunes plates, the purity of the material comes into its own even more.
